Riardi Genetic Codex- Heterochromia & Iris Pigmentation
Heterochromia (HET-Locus)
This locus is responsible for different iris hues between a riardi's left and right eye.
- HET/HET: Full Heterochromia (Complete difference between left and right).
- HET/-: Partial Heterochromia (Sectoral, rings, or flecks).
- -/-: Standard monochrome iris expression.
Iris Pigmentation (IRP-Locus)
This is a conditional mutation dependent on the presence of the Aeryardi trait. It regulates saturation and luminosity rather than hue.
- IRP/IRP: Deep/Shaded iris expression.
- IRP/-: Pastel iris expression.
- -/-: Standard high-saturation expression.
**Conditional:
The Iris pigmentation expression is inert without the aeryardi lineage. The split between pastel and deep/shaded is a phenotypic variant determined by lineage, RNG, or your choice as a player, rather than a distinct genetic allele.
Metallic Flecks (MET-Locus) This locus dictates the presence of metallic or iridescent inclusions within the iris.
- MET/MET: Full expression (Heavy metallic flecking throughout the iris).
- MET/-: Partial expression (Sparse, subtle metallic flecks).
- -/-: Standard iris expression (No metallic inclusions).
Compatibility: This trait is compatible with both standard monochrome eyes and heterochromia. It appears in the lyrdi riardi.
