Riardi Genetic Codex- Lyrdi Genetics

VAC/VAC- Vacuum Locus (Lyrdi Tail Gene)

VAC: Dominant allele dictating a multi-tail array and functional vacuum intake.
vac: Recessive wild-type allele dictating a standard single riardi tail setup.

Genotypic Combinations and Phenotypic Outcomes:

VAC / VAC (The Void Anchor): The individual possesses two or three slender tails connected to a multi-stage filtration array in the tail-head second stomach. They emit zero magical footprint, actively drawing in and neutralizing local miramba currents. This grants total invisibility to magical detection and allows them to phase-shift parts of their body out of reality by manipulating spatial anchor pressure.
VAC / vac (The Vestigial Anchor): The individual inherits the physical multi-tail structure (two or three tails) used as counter-weights for silent balancing and climbing, but the false-vacuum second stomach is only partially functional. They can neutralize minor tracking spells but cannot perform active phase-shifting.
vac / vac (Standard Core): Standard single tail with normal regional substance emission or biological stomach setup. Fully detectable by magical tracking.

Umbral Locus- Shadow Expression

The Umbral Locus controls how an individual’s physical form blocks or transmits light. Born from the half-spirit nature of the lyrdi, this gene dictates the presence or absence of a physical shadow. It is transmissible through the riardi gene pool.

UMB: Dominant allele causing the complete absence of a physical shadow. Light passes completely through them.

umb: Recessive wild-type allele allowing normal shadow casting. The shadow vanishes only during active magic usage or periods of strong adrenaline; otherwise they cast a shadow.

SU: Partial Suppression allele (Umbral Blur). Their shadow is completely normal like other living beings.

Lyrdi have the DG- Dagged Ears gene (see: Riardi Genetic Codex- Ears) and have tufted, long fur on their ankles rather than hock spikes. This repels static and debris naturally.
